A stunning rhinestone brooch with the outer circle and the larger central stone being coated with aurora borealis finish which reflects a rainbow of colours. Albert Weiss founded his company in New York in 1942 and the height of his success was during the glamour of the 1950's 1960's period. After Albert Weiss had handed his business over to his son Michael it was difficult to maintain relevance in the market with so much competition and the company ceased to exist in 1971 after a magnificent period where many of their designs were copied by other costume jewellery companies. .  There is a signature to the back of this brooch WEISS NY. It is still in perfect condition, a testament to the quality of their pieces. Measurement of the brooch is 4.5cms across, set in gold tone metal.
