Product Details

A waterfall cluster of gemstones sets the stage for a beautiful feature iolite or green amethyst in these silver leverback earrings.

  • Gemstone earring with 10mm iolite or green amethyst (prasiolite) stone.
  • Waterfall cluster of apatite, tanzanite, green sapphire, smoky quartz, labradorite, white and green pearl.
  • Sterling silver with 18k vermeil accents.
  • Earring length approximately 1 3/4".

Sterling silver leverbacks support a cascade of apatite, tanzanite, green sapphire, smoky quartz, labradorite, white and green pearl atop a 10mm iolite or green amethyst (prasiolite) stone. A mix of 18k vermeil elements accents the silver wire and gemstones. The effect is dazzling.

The feature stones also add a layer of meaning to these beautiful combinations. Common healing properties of Iolite include aiding in providing direction and guidance (physical and spiritual) and instilling hope during difficult times. It can promote feelings of peace, calming, and tranquility. Green Amethyst, or Prasiolite, is a stone that links, integrates and balances the higher and lower aspects of being. It awakens the heart to the frequency of love and compassion and enhances the connection to all things.
In addition to being secure, leverback earrings are comfortable and stylish. The backing closes completely, snapping shut by touching the earring wire. By the way, as early as 300 BC ancient Greeks were using emeralds, amethysts and pearls to make earrings. Greek earrings were similar to leverbacks. They had a curved wire that attached to the earring. They are often referred to as key earrings or snap-back earrings.
