So elegant in design and finely crafted is this lovely vintage Art Deco yellow gold brooch with faceted peridot gemstone and seed pearls by Hayden W. Wheeler & Company, circa late 20s, early 30s.
The bar pin style brooch tests as 10K gold, and consists of a long and thin rectangular shape with openwork filigree center and features a square or emerald cut light green periodot gemstone in an open-back setting.
The peridot gem is flanked on each side by two small genuine seed pearls, for a total of four pearls.
*Please note that the antique brooch is not perfectly squared as shown and has acquired a few small bends over time, but doesn't detract.
It also has a hooded catch with lever style safety, measures approximately 2 inches in length, weighs 2.4 grams, and is stamped with the Hayden W. Wheeler & Company’s logo of letters “HW” within a larger letter “W” on the catch.
